    Wish List Wednesday 3.28.18

Hi Y’all, Today’s Wish List Wednesday is not exactly going to be tangible things. Instead, there’s going to be a little story time. I recently met up with a blogger friend who just moved to the area. We went to lunch and then I was showing her around some stores. Almost every store I walked out of (empty handed) someone made a comment about the fact I didn’t buy anything. I’ll be the first person to say that 99% of the time I go shopping, I’m going shopping with something in mind. After making a fairly large purchase at the beginning of this month plus buying some stuff for my…

    Teaching Tuesday: Choices

Hi y’all, Today’s Teaching Tuesday is all about choices. Not teaching choices, but student choices. We often give students things to do, and that’s what they do. This is leading them to do one simple idea and to just do the status quo. They’re not even attempting to think outside the box. I found this out when I assigned a hands on activity: make the ocean floor out of salt dough. The only requirement was they had to work together in their group and if they did not cooperate together or misbehaved, I had an alternative assignment ready for them. Every single group approached it the same way: they thought…

    {Future} Bedroom Plans

Hi Y’all, I am so anxious to know that I have a job for the fall just so I can finalize my living arrangements and start fulling planning everything out. Of course, I do still have some things from college I plan on using. However, I do plan on making some upgrades, like to a queen bed! Needless to say, I know moving is expensive so I started making some plans now, and I definitely hit up the Pottery Barn X Lilly Pulitzer launch and picked out a few things that will work well with my color scheme for my future bedroom. I love navy and white together (and let’s…

    Polishes Nail it for Spring

Hi y’all, Fun fact: I hate not having my nails painted.  I also hate chipped nails, so sometimes this creates very interesting situations. I adore Essie’s nail polishes and boy did they nail it with several of their spring colors! I am so excited to head out to the store and pick up at least one of these colors (if not all three, I am easily tempted after all). Do y’all have a favorite spring polish? xx, Lindsey

    Mix and Match Outfits

Hi y’all, I did a similar post to this on Monday, but you can find it here. But, the idea behind this post is you can literally mix and match the tops with the bottoms, and you can bring them all together with the sweater (I love it so much I got it in three colors, whoops).   (1) Tatum Long Fringe Hem Cardigan (2) Long-sleeve Whale Pocket Tee Shirt (3) Scalloped Cami Top (4) Luxletic 21″ Weekender Cropped Pant with Pocket (5) Farrah High Waisted Skinny Jeans All of these pieces are also multi-season which I really like. I tend to wear long pants/leggings and long sleeves even in the middle of the…

    Wednesday Wish List 3.21.18

Hi y’all! I’m so excited to bring you another edition of Wish list Wednesday! This week’s edition is definitely home oriented. I think a recent collaboration really got to me… I have been obsessed with this headboard for years! Obviously, Pottery Barn tends to be on the more expensive end, but I absolutely love this one. A girl can dream though, right? I’ve been on the hunt for a good pair of cheetah or leopard print shoes. I haven’t seen this pair in person so I’m not sure if they’re the exact pair I want, but it’s definitely something similar. Considering the fact that I don’t have a job lined…

    Teaching Tuesday: Stations

Hi y’all, For today’s post I kept thinking about something I am constantly asked in interviews: how do I assist students at each level? Well, my answer to that is always the same: stations. This is the obvious answer for things like reading groups. No matter if you do a traditional station rotation where you tell students where to go for each time slot, or you do more of the Daily 5 model, students are still getting more individualize time with the teacher. I try not to go above 5 littles in each of my reading groups. Now, the other big time leveling tends to happen is math. Now, you’ve…

    Spring Outfit Ideas

Hi y’all, I’m attempting to not buy as much since I plan on moving in August (and I already know I’ll have a lot to move). So, my main outfit inspiration right now is taking one “staple” piece and mixing and matching it with different pieces. I put together some outfit ideas that would use one item in each outfit. For this one, I picked a white jean jacket. Weatherly Jean Jacket | Luxletic Kai Tank |Indigo Resort Skinny Jean| Tiny Block Print Tie Front Tee | Crinkle Cotton Dress with Navy Trim | Sailor Stripe Short Sleeve What is your staple go to item for spring? xx, Lindsey

    Puppy Prep: Finding Everything

Hi y’all, I’ve already blogged here about how this is the year of the puppy for me. In order to make puppy happen this year, I have been working as much as possible, saving what I can, etc. One thing that keeps being brought up is how much do I plan on getting my puppy? The answer is nothing expensive. Puppies tend to tear things up, so I know I’ll be replacing most things. I’ve be scouring Target and Amazon. playpen|  harness|dog bed| leash While I’m still undecided about most things, I know I want to get puppy a playpen. I also know that I want a retractable leash. I’ll be living in…
