Hi y’all, Today’s Teaching Tuesday is all about choices. Not teaching choices, but student choices. We often give students things to do, and that’s what they do. This is leading them to do one simple idea and to just do the status quo. They’re not even attempting to think outside the box. I found this out when I assigned a hands on activity: make the ocean floor out of salt dough. Hi y’all, For today’s post I kept thinking about something I am constantly asked in interviews: how do I assist students at each level? Well, my answer to that is always the same: stations. This is the obvious answer for things like reading groups. No matter if you do a traditional station rotation where you tell students where to go for each time slot, or you do more of the Daily 5 model, students are still getting more individualize time with the teacher. In order to make puppy happen this year, I have been working as much as possible, saving what I can, etc. One thing that keeps being brought up is how much do I plan on getting my puppy?
