Behind the Blog

Originally, I started blogging back in high school as an escape.  At the time, I was just finishing up the college acceptance process. I kept going through college, taking classes that primarily specialized in media. I’m a first generation college graduate from Christopher Newport University (’15). I was set on being a Communication Studies major. I loved the flexibility of it, and more so that it let me continue and helped grow my love for blogging.

Then, the real world hit. I was working full time in retail. Quite frankly, knew I needed to make a change long before I did. I started back in school in an education program to get my teaching license for PreK through 6th grades. In January 2020 I started grad school at UVA to earn a M.Ed to become a reading specialist or literacy coach.
