    Getting Over FOMO

Hi Y’all, Everyone has FOMO: Fear of Missing Out. This year, I am extremely focused on my goals. This also means that I am missing out on certain things. For instance, I didn’t shop the Lilly Pulitzer APS that just happened. This is unheard of from me. I am the first person to admit that I have shopping problems and I’m working on conquering them. Here are my tips for getting over your FOMO. Stay focused on the goals you have. I have trackers in my Bullet Journal that I’m using through May (or at least planning on using through May). This way, I am reminded that I am working…

    Tips to Picking Your College

Hi Y’all, It’s that time of the year that final college decisions have to be made. Whether its where to apply to (some let you apply to them as late as March 1). Or, you’re the lucky soul that all of your college applications are already in and you’re doing the waiting game. I graduated from Christopher Newport University in May 2015. January 2016, I started classes for my teaching license and was accepted in the program for my license in April 2016. I just finished up the program in November 2017. CNU is absolutely stunning, and shockingly enough, I didn’t even apply until 10 minutes before the deadline. Of…

    Travel Bucket List

Hi Y’all, I love traveling and haven’t gotten to do much of it since the summer between my junior and senior years of college. I studied abroad in London which allowed me to go to Paris, France and Scotland for two separate weekends.   {via} London. No questions,  I want to go spend more time in London. Every day I was there I still had class to attend so half of my days were spent in class. There are still a ton of things I want to do that I wasn’t able to do last time. Italy. Even though I don’t speak the language (a major problem I found when…

    Prepping for Puppy

Hi Y’all, It’s no secret that this is the Year of the Puppy (#yearofthepuppy). It is my main goal to get a toy poodle this year. This is my best friend’s toy poodle, Zoe. She’s the sweetest and the dog that convinced me that a toy poodle is the perfect first dog for me. Now, you’re probably wondering, how am I prepping for a puppy that I aiming to get at some point this year? Well, here’s how: Applying to jobs. I am literally applying to jobs left and right, and I’m definitely making sure that I’m applying to a variety of school districts. Working all the time/Saving everything. Between…

    Introduction to LipSense/SeneGence

Hi y’all, Something I am absolutely obsessed with is LipSense/SeneGence. Now, I’m not someone who wears a ton of makeup. I used to be. Today, I use it a lot more strategically and really focus on key points. I love my eyes so I always make sure I’m wearing mascara to make them look more open (I have a tad bit of a lazy eye) and tinted moisturizer is a daily must. I’ve seen bloggers blog about it and then my best friend started raving about it. She had started competing in beauty pageants and loved this stuff. I’m not competing in a beauty pageant anytime soon, and I typically…

    Top 3 Time Management Tricks

Hi Y’all, Time management is one of those tricky things. After working two jobs while going to school full time I may have mastered time management. Here are my tips and tricks to time management success: Use a planner wisely. Make sure that you have what you have to do written down. Then you can make a to-do list with things you would like to do and things you should do. Do your “must dos” first. For instance, for me I would go to work and my classes and then do my homework. Cleaning was normally next on the list and rarely got done because it was a “should do”…

    2018 Goals

Hi Y’all, Happy 2018! This is a big year for me. It’s the year where I’ll turn 25. It’s the year where I’ll have my first full time teaching job (Lord willing). It’s the year where I won’t have to work two jobs. It’s the year where I’ll (hopefully) get a puppy. It’s the year that I will get to move into my first apartment.   Now, I hate the word resolutions. Why? Because there is no guidance on how to accomplish the resolution. With a goal, you can set a path to accomplish the specific goal. I thought about what I really want to accomplish this year and made…
