Accessing Books
Hi y’all, I am a self-proclaimed book worm. With this pandemic, the local libraries are closed. This also means my students cannot access books like they are used to. There is no longer a school library they go to once a week for specials. There is not a public library their families can take them to. I love books and typically can read multiple books a week, or be found staying up way to late just to finish a book. During the semester, I often have multiple chapters and articles to reach each week for my classes, so I don’t read as much then. iBooks. I have an iPad so…

The New Normal
Hi y’all, The Coronavirus has made the state of Virginia cancel in-person schooling for the rest of the 2019-2020 school year. I never got to say goodbye to my kiddos in person, but we are continuing with e-learning. Obviously, this is very different than a normal day for my students and me. Just in the Books app by Apple, I’ve read 12 books this year. Plus I’ve read a few more in the Libby app. I will say I have read all of these books as ebooks which is very unusual for me, but my public library is closed. I love finding new books that other people loved. It’s also one of my favorite parts of my day job as a teacher. I love recommending a…

Workout Review: Obe Fitness
Hi, y’all! With being socially distance, I’ve decided to work out more from home! I have definitely been trying out new places in town (like Zoom), but not everyone has access or the financials to pay for boutique studios. I currently don’t have to work from home (this could change depending on how long we’re out of school), but I still have some grad school work to do. However, I still have time to get a workout in without leaving the house, which is awesome! As many of you now I love my Beachbody workouts. However, I know not everyone wants to do them. Today, I downloaded the Obe Fitness…
