    Book Chat: Spring

    It’s time for the latest book chat. I literally can’t believe that I barely posted in March and that this is my first book chat since the beginning of February. Book chats are one of my most favorite to write. However, I will say that I’ve been struggling with time management and accomplishing things. I’ve been reading a lot as my form of stress relief, working on my UVA grad class, and studying for my Praxis test I need for my teaching license endorsement to become a Reading Specialist. I honestly feel so much better when I read every day. My books app on my iPad has a tracker for…

    Easter Baskets

    Easter is right around the corner, which means it’s time for Easter baskets. I love putting together gifts for any occasion. I have been seeing a ton of high end Easter ideas-like Dyson hair dryers. I’ll be honest, I came from a family where we got chocolate and a small thing like bubbles growing up. Plus, the annual Easter egg hunt! There was one year our dog, Emma, tried to hunt down the eggs before my brother and I! I love putting together gift guides and holiday guides. So, of course, I had to do one for Easter! I included mostly things for kids, but shared a few things for…

    For the Kitchen

    It’s time to shop for the kitchen! Y’all, I should probably be slightly concerned about how excited I get about decorating a house I don’t even own yet. I shopped for my living room here and office here. I did look at two houses last week, and neither one is going to work super well for me. One had too many steps and a horrible driveway. The other had mold in the basement. Needless to say, my realtor and I were done with the mold one very quickly! Again, you can click on the image and it will take you to a clickable page. St. Patrick’s Day

    St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner! I put together a guide of items to help celebrate the holiday! I did something similar for Valentine’s Day here. Last week, I didn’t have a blog post. I don’t have a good reason for this, except I’m exhausted. I started working on one of my major assignments for my UVA class. After doing the entire assignment, the video failed to process. It’s an assessment of a child, so it’s not like I could just refilm it. This led me to an anxiety attack. Luckily, my professor is very understanding and isn’t penalizing me for it. I saw two homes-one was a…

    Spring Shoes

    It’s finally time to start shopping for spring and that includes spring shoes! Y’all know I love shopping, but I’ve actually not “shopped” since December. I bought no new clothes in January, and I bought two shirts for fundraisers in February. One is a great cause for the environment! Sneakers are definitely making a fashion statement and are very in right now. It also is looking like Birkenstocks are going to continue being on trend this year, as well. If you’re in the market for some slippers though, I 200% recommend these. Disclaimer: I may receive compensation from some of the options shown. However, all opinions are my own. Adidas…

    Living Room

    As y’all know, I am in the market (using that loosely) for my first home. I will be the first person to say I love the farmhouse feel- think Chip and Joanna Gaines. Decorating my future home is one of my favorite things to do in all my free time. I did an office decor post here. Today, I’m sharing with you the furniture and decor for a living room.     Amazon List {February 2021}

    As well all know, Amazon has everything under the sun and then some. I’m trying to compile a list every few months or so to share with y’all of some great Amazon finds! Butt lifting leggings | There are so many options on Amazon for “butt lifting leggings” it’s not even funny. Eyelet Tank Top | Y’all this is so cute and fun! I love this, especially as it will be getting warmer, this will be a great top for just wearing around for errands. Fabric Shaver | This is a total lifesaver and has such great reviews! I have an older blanket that has a ton of pilling on…

    Setting Boundaries

    Y’all, I cannot stress enough what it means to set boundaries and how important it is-in all aspects of your life. Especially with work from home being the norm for almost all jobs, it is really important to keep the work-life balance and know when to cut work off. Plus, most millennials have side-hustles. When you have a side-hustle, second, or third job, it can be tough to set boundaries for everything. It’s definitely something I’ve struggled with in the past (and still do). Setting boundaries help you become more productive and stay true to yourself. For instance, I don’t like being touched. I’ve been pretty clear with my family…

    A Weekend in my Life Vlog

    I took the time to film a few things on my snowy weekend in-just in time for it to (hopefully) snow again! I love creating vlogs for y’all, and it’s super fun when it’s a weekend without a lot going on. This week and weekend, I’m filming because I have a LOT going on. I can’t wait to share with y’all some exciting things coming up! Make sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel to always see the videos first.

    Being Productive

    Being productive is one of the hardest things for me right now. I don’t know what it is: the weather, I’m tired, everything seems hard, the list goes on. It does not help there seem to be 10 million things going on at a time. This year, with teaching the way it is, everything takes longer to do. Just to upload one week of stuff to Canvas can take 3 hours for one subject (not ideal). Consequently, there have been tons of days where I want to sit and do absolutely nothing. However, I have to make sure my classes are ready, assignments are being graded, my UVA grad class…
