January 2022 Book Chat + Book Review

I love reading, I really do. I’m always so excited to write this post every month. Writing these book reviews brings me so much joy because it means I get to share good books with you. As usual, I read most of my books for free on the Apple Books app; however, I also read on the Libby app. These books are so accessible, you don’t need to go to the library or order a physical copy unless you want to. God Bless this Mess by Hannah Brown | 3.5/5 stars. I will say this was a very quick read. It’s Hannah Brown’s own memoir about her life, including some…

    Winter Workout Routine

Winter workouts are so hard to plan because of the ever-changing weather. I created a winter workout routine to not only help me with my fitness but also allow me to be consistent! I’ve done a few workout posts before and we all know I love at-home workouts. So, what does an at-home workout look like during the winter? Well, it’s not outside, that’s for sure! Winter in Virginia is literally the most unpredictable thing ever. Honestly, most seasons are! Here’s my winter workout routine: Peloton ride | I do a quick 20-30 minute spin ride. I do not have the actual Peloton bike, though. I ended up getting a…

    Home Organization

Home organization. This is something I’ve struggled with other the years, especially since the house I live in right now doesn’t have any built-in storage minus closets. One thing that I don’t like is spending a ton of money to organize. It’s tough when so many organizational things are so expensive, so I tried to go to places that have easily accessible things or things that you could swap out for something else that is similar. I’ve also talked about home decor. Decor is great, I love decorating. Everyone loves a good vibe and feeling to their home. But, the decor can also be functional. I picked neutral colors when…

    Reselling Tips

Reselling tips are in hot demand as people continue to clean out homes and are trying to find a way to get their items new homes. I’m one of them. I have so many clothes that I just don’t wear anymore. This is an excellent way to help out your financial situation and create some extra income. Reselling also gives you an opportunity to take fast fashion and make it more sustainable. There are also people who no longer buy products first hand, and will only buy from these “second hand’ sites. You will often find items for much less than original retail cost but still in fantastic condition. Reselling…

    Mood Board Home Vibes

A Mood board and vision board I find are very synonymous with each other. I have been thinking about how I plan on decorating my future home, especially as I start buying things that are nicer or are things that I can use for a long time. I’m a sucker for Pottery Barn-like those are my home vibes for real. However, I also know it’s not realistic for me to plan on decorating my entire future home in Pottery Barn. One thing that I really want in my future home is storage…I currently live in an older colonial “farmhouse” for lack of a better way of describing it, and there…

    Favorite Products

One of my favorite things is seeing what everyone’s favorite products are. There is obviously a reason that you love them. So, today, I thought I would share mine with you. Just a heads up, this post is not sponsored. These are products that I use all of the time and truly adore! Tula’s Purifying Cleanser | $28 | I love this stuff. It lasts for a long time and it makes your skin feel so soft. My face has never been as soft until I started using this stuff. An alternative would be this Neutrogena face wash. It’s less than $9 and found at Target, Walmart, CVS, etc. Rose…

    Winter Outfits

Winter outfits are always a struggle for me. I find that I have a difficult time pairing different things together. It’s probably because my closet is full of Lilly Pulitzer. These temperatures below 30 do not exactly scream Lilly Pulitzer wearing weather. I will say I’m very grateful to have power back after this storm that went through on Monday. We got power back late on Thursday and then the internet and phone came back later. However, our phone and internet keep going in and out. I will say one thing I’m having a hard time finding this year is a nice winter dress. Everything seems to be midi length…

    2022 Goals and Vision Board

I can hardly believe that 2022 is here and that it’s time to set my goals for the year! It feels like yesterday I was having surgery on my knee and prepping for the new school year. Last week, I shared my recap of 2021 and how I did on those goals. This year, I knew I wanted to make my goals visual (hence the vision board) and I wanted to really focus on long-term things. Goals for 2022 Buy my first house | Y’all, I have the money for a down payment, so hopefully I can find a house this year. Last year, everything I saw didn’t quite fit…
