Best Purchases of 2022
Hi y’all,
I know it’s been a hot minute since my last post. However, I’m really excited because I have a posting schedule made for 2023! I’ve started to focus on my content calendar for 2023. I want social media (Tiktok, Instagram, Youtube) to be more manageable. For now, I’m so excited to share my best purchases of 2022. But, it wouldn’t be a best purchases of 2022 post without some of the worst. I keep seeing Youtube videos of these. However, I can only manage about 1 youtube video a week (thanks to country wi-fi).
Before we get into the purchases, if you’re ever curious about things I like, I link a lot on my Benable account here. Benable is such a great website, not only does it allow you to organize things like an Amazon storefront, it allows you to do it from so many different websites. If you want to create your own Benable account, you can get ahead of the waitlist by clicking here.
Best Purchases of 2022

- Invisalign | Y’all, I can only say amazing things about Invisalign. I had braces from 5th grade through 8th grade and my bottom teeth especially were not looking great. This summer, I had a consultation from a different orthodontist and I’m so glad I did. I’m on week 14 of Invisalign and my teeth already look so much better! If you’re unhappy with your teeth please go meet with an orthodontist. Most orthodontists offer a free consultation. Typically, they will take pictures, do an x-ray, and go over the treatment plan with you. At the end, mine went over payment options, what my insurance would most likely pay, etc. I ended up thinking about it for 3 days and called to make my first appointment. I will say Invisalign is expensive but so far it has really been worth it.
- London Necklace | I love this necklace and I wear it daily. I get so many compliments on it! This necklace reminds me of my time in London. Plus, it really makes me want to plan a vacation to go back!). This Etsy shop has over 2 million sales, and the quality of the necklace is amazing! If you don’t want to go to Etsy to shop, you can buy it on the CaitlynMinimalist website here. This site offers a ton of different options, including name necklaces, initals, custom rings, and more! You’re sure to find something you’ll love.
- Meanwhile Back on the Farm tote | Mine is in the olive color. I use mine as my school bag, but this is the perfect everyday tote!
- Lilly Pulitzer Adler Skirt | Y’all, I’m legitimately in love with this skirt. I think I’ve worn it at least 5 times since I bought it. This skirt makes me think of the Parent Trap (the Lindsay Lohan version). Specifically, Annie’s tweed outfit that she wears when she arrives at camp.
- Lululemon Scuba Full Zip Hoodie | It’s worth it y’all. I am not a huge Lululemon fan, I much prefer Athleta leggings, but this hoodie is worth it. If you don’t want to pull the trigger on a $100+ hoodie, here is the Amazon dupe. I sized up for a more relaxed look.
- Belt bag | Ok, I know this seems super basic and not like the most important thing. However, after experiencing shoplifters at my second job (luckily they didn’t come in my store, but they took phones and wallets from other employees at other stores along with merchandise), having a belt bag is super beneficial. It will definitely keep your stuff safer! I bought the 1L bag from Lululemon and have a smaller one. I don’t really like the smaller one after seeing how much stuff the 1L can hold. Especially since I want to travel, having a belt bag will be a much safer bag to use every day. My current tote bag and one that I’ve used since 2018 (Louis Vuitton Neverful) is an open bag; therefore, it isn’t as safe for things like travel.
Worst Purchases of 2022
- Clothes | Y’all, I don’t even want to think about the amount of money I spent on clothes this year. Clothes are definitely where the majority of my money is spent and when I say I don’t really need to buy clothes ever again, I’m not really kidding. I definitely need to sell more of my clothes. Be on the lookout to my Poshmark for some clothes being posted. I love making deals, so please make an offer if you see something you like!
- Nail polish | I’m not one to go get my nails done, and especially with Invisalign, I can’t really keep my nails painted. My nails get chipped so quickly with Invisalign since I have to take them out multiple times a day (anytime I eat or drink something besides water). Now, I did not spend a ton of money on nail polish this year, and I can still paint my toes, it’s frustrating to spend not only the money but time on my fingernails just for them to look awful.
Things I Want to Spend Money on in 2023
- Horses | I didn’t foxhunt this year, but y’all, I really want to! If nothing else, I really want to get back to taking lessons.
- Vacation/Travel | Y’all I want to travel somewhere so badly. I can’t decide if I should go back to England (just to travel and explore this time) or if I should go somewhere more tropical. I’ve already been to most of the United States, and I definitely could see going back to some of those places (like to a ranch in Montana).
- Home | I’ve been in the market or poking around the market for a while when it comes to looking for a home. This time, I really do plan on meeting with a few different realtors to find one that has my best interest at heart. I’m excited to see what will be available in 2023, too! Obviously, new homes keep getting put on the market, but there are some new builds that are opening up as well.
What were your best purchases of 2022? What purchases do y’all regret?
Now, let me share my posting schedule with y’all for 2023:

I feel like I’m missing out on this belt bag thing. Maybe I need to finally try one!

It is so worth it! I didn’t jump on it at first, and now I am a true believer in them, especially when I’m going somewhere busy!
