Valentine’s Day is coming up! While I typically don’t do much for the holiday (I blame this on being single), I do like looking around and browsing for fun decorations and ways to celebrate! I will say I am usually quite the grinch about Valentine’s Day. Plus, I do love any excuse to shop!
One of the usual perks of being a teacher is decorating for holidays. However, this year, I’m not planning on doing anything for Valentine’s. It’s hard to decorate with COVID, since soft surfaces can capture the germs. I’ve really tried to minimize the soft surfaces in my room this year. Likewise, I made this keeping in mind that passing out things like cards are not necessarily safe.
Decor, Books, and Outfits for Valentine’s Day
I Spy with My Little Eyes (coloring book)
There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Rose |This is the similar to the story There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly, just Valentine’s themed!
Harvey the Heart had Too Many Farts (social story)
Darth Vader Shirt | While I’m not much of a Star Wars fan, this is cute!
Love from the Crayons (the same author as The Day the Crayons Quit) | First, I love the books from the crayons perspective. They’re fun and adorable! I love how this one allows you to talk about love and caring for people.
The Little Book of Valentine’s Day (social story) | This book is great because it will give you an opportunity to discuss giving and receiving gifts and cards with your little one!
Heart Shirt and Red Skirt toddler outfit | I would be lying if I said I hated little girl’s outfits. They honestly adorable and this is no exception. While, I’m not sure about the quality, it is a great price!
Red workout top for Ladies | Much more subtle compared to other options out there (and can wear all year long), this is a great option for a great price for your Valentine’s Day workout!
Dinosaur Shirt | So cute for a little boy or girl!
Again, I’m trying to pick items that are COVID friendly but still celebrate the holiday. I love how several of the books are social stories to help talk about the holiday and feelings. My school district is not allowing for anything to be passed out, so keeping that in mind we will be celebrating very differently than in years’ past.
Valentine’s Day Gifts
Comfy | Y’all, this is like the snuggie and is a great option for people that are always cold. It also comes in a variety of colors.
Valentine’ Day Pup | This is adorable for a kid or a first Valentine’s Day for a dating couple.
I Love You More, I Win Mug | If your significant other is the competitive kind, this is so cute!
Yoda Shirt | Again, not a big Star Wars fan myself, but this is cute!
Hershey’s Kisses | Y’all, I am a sucker for chocolate, and honestly it’s my favorite part of Valentine’s Day!
“I Met You” Trinket Tray | Such a cute idea for keeping your rings and other daily jewelry in around this sweet holiday!
Do One Thing Every Day Together Journal | This is such a great idea to help continue to cultivate a relationship as life gets busy! I love how it’s something you can do with your significant other!
I’m Yours, No Refunds Mug | Again, just a cute little mug!
