    Planning for the New Year

    HI y’all,I’m really trying to get back into my planning kick. You see, I was always super organized when it came to school (during Undergrad and before). With real life, I find that I rarely open my planner and then miss things or have to re-organize my day based on that. I don’t like using a digital planner/calendar. I often just use them to find out when I have something (like my observations or other school important things) and then transfer it to my Day Designer by Blue Sky.     New Year’s Goals

    Hi y’all,Happy 2019! I’ve been thinking long and hard about what my goals are for 2019. Notice, I did not use the word resolution. I dislike the word resolution because there is no means to an end with resolution; however, with a goal, you can break it down into the things you have to accomplish to reach that goal. 1. Get a puppyHow to accomplish getting a puppy?-Stay up on my savings each month-Move by Late May/Early June. 2. Be ahead with my planning for school.-Plan at least a week ahead.-Have copies made if applicable.-Plan/make copies during planning (not before or after school).-Stay organized. 3.     Lemonade Date

    Hi y’all, I know I only started this blog a week ago, but I definitely want this to be a life+style type of lifestyle blog. In order to do that, y’all get real life posts! Therefore, occasionally you’ll see a “Lemonade Date” post. I can’t have caffeine, but lemonade is definitely my guilty pleasure. My biggest life announcement is I accepted a position to teach 5th grade! I’m so excited to FINALLY be doing what I love. I start Wednesday with New Teacher Orientation!     Becoming an Adult: Life Update

    Hi y’all, Here at the end of 2017, I realized something: I’m becoming a real adult. This realization really hit when I considered joining the Junior League. Plus, I keep thinking that I need to start prioritizing saving money for furniture. Talk about weird. I have officially finished school now (woo!), so I’m just waiting on my license to come in. I’m applying for a jobs in a field that I love: teaching. I definitely did not take the conventional path to teaching.
